Volunteer Docents greet each class with a half hour tour of the Heritage School Museum. They explain the school's history as well as life in Sheboygan during this time period. Docents have a deep love of our local history and want to share their excitement for Sheboygan's past with each visiting class. The information needed is all in a booklet prepared for the docents, and new docents observe current docents twice before presenting on their own.

Volunteer Teachers hold class in the Heritage School classroom for a morning of lessons that include reading, arithmetic, penmanship, geography, and a spelldown. Volunteer Teachers are or have been licensed teachers or administrators. The Sheboygan Area School District has carefully prepared procedures and background materials for volunteers to use. Training and assistance is also provided to make each volunteer's experience a rewarding one.
